POTD: The ToorKnives F13 Tommy Tomahawk
We don’t do Tomahawks or knives very often in our Photo Of The Day, but the ToorKnives F13 Tommy Tomahawk seems worthy of an exception. A tomahawk can be a versatile tool for everyday carry (EDC), especially for outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists. Its lightweight design makes it easy to pack or strap to a bag. It can serve multiple purposes, including chopping wood, clearing brush, or prying in emergency situations. I try to keep an axe (with a more traditional look) in my car at all times - at least it’s more compact than a chainsaw!
In urban settings, it could function as a breaching tool for self-defense or rescue operations. With its durable construction and compact size, a tomahawk adds a reliable, multipurpose edge to any EDC kit.
Here’s what ToorKnives wrote:
“Named after the "Filthy Thirteen" of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, the F13 Tommy resembles traditional Native American Tomahawks, but updated with a tactical twist. With updated 2024 colorways and new G10 texture pattern, the F13 is designed with a 90-degree point at the head of the axe, making it the ideal breaching tool.
Every F13 Tommy includes a KYDEX® sheath. This edged weapon is made in the USA, individually serialized, and ready to stand up to any situation you can throw at it! Available in Bomber Black and Omaha Tan colorway.”

I like one piece tomahawks but I’m starting to gravitate back to more traditional council tool and Gransfors Bruks pack axes
