Molot Vepr:s – 223, 308 and with new handguard. Plus Shotguns

This is a Molot Vepr 1V Semi Auto Hunting Rifle in .223 Remington, from IWA 2017. There’s a Falke II red dot on top. If you look at the butt stock and the handguard you notice it looks much more modern than usual.

The butt stock is probably from FAB Defense, or a similar supplier, but the handguard is new to me and I’ve never seen it before.

I don’t know if these are for sale as displayed, or if the handguard is available as an option?

The muzzle brake looks up for the job. These rifles could have been modified by the German firearms dealer Waffen Schumacher, who work together with Molot and other suppliers.

The display says Vepr 1V in .223 Remington.

    Weapon weight: 4.4 kg

    Loaded weight 4.87 kg

Another photo, with the came leveled with the rifle and not the sign.

Below: Made in Russia and Vepr-1V 308 Win written on it.

Note the built in bipod. A bit like they Steyr Scout, but the Russian way.

    Onwards to the Molot shotguns.

Molot Vepr 12E Molot with Falke red dot.

This length of barrel looks almost UK legal. Molot now make 10 round magazines themselves.

My Russian is not the best, but I got a little help from a neighbor.

Apparently Molot Vepr means “to hammer wild boar”. I’m visioning a Vepr 12 filled with slugs…
