When Kevin Brittingham, former owner of Advanced Armament Corporation, started a new company called “Q”, it created a lot of buzz in the Industry. Several weeks ago, a friend of mine forwarded me a picture of a rifle that the Company was working on. THE FIX, is a bolt action rifle that weighs 5lbs 9 oz., has similar controls to an Ar-15, features a crisp trigger and a match grade Bartlein barrel. The rifle has a 45-degree bolt throw and a fully adjustable folding stock. The rifle is available in 7.62×51, 6.5 Creedmoor, 338 Federal and 300 WSM.
This year at SHOT 2017 Range Day, I had the pleasure of getting to chat with the folks at Q and spend some time with the Rifle. The rifle I shot was chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and had an EoTech VUDU Rifle Scope. Recoil was mild, the rifle fit my large frame, the comb was very comfortable and the rifle was very accurate. From the product literature, THE FIX was inspired by the M2010 rifle program.
