the Arc’teryx Khard backpack fits the H&K MP7 perfectly. Pack organization is by Velocity Systems. They make insets for the Khard backpacks. Check them out here

Oh look, two things I’ll never own.

    • Pod

Indeed. I love the Unobtainum Porn but dang it, ya know?

With the success of the CZ Scorpion Evo, you’d think H&K would release a pistol semi-auto version of the MP7. Even with the unique ammo there’s bound to be enough fanboys who would blow $1500 and up for one …

      • Giolli Joker

Did you by chance see the price of HK’s civilian MP5?

        • Pod

          Yeah actually…

How much does a standard MP5 cost to a qualified agency?

          • Frank Grimes

            About $900

      • Mr Mxyzptlk

The problem is that if they released a semi-only civilian variant to the US, everyone would soon realise that it was a POS. The MP7A1 is only a good weapon when used in full auto due to the, to put it politely, “limited” cartrdige. I have used an MP7SF for work (wouldn’t be civillian legal though as just has the full auto capability removed but could be easily put back), and trust me, you aren’t missing much. Without the FA this thing is just a toy/collectors item.

        • Harry’s Holsters

I and I don’t think many others would buy this gun for anything but fun and collecting.

Is it under powered? Yes but I’m sure the cool factor would make it a blast to shoot.

          • Jim N Jenna SK

I would buy one as a collectors item

      • Harry’s Holsters

My understanding is German export laws prevent the plans and the gun from being exported for civilian use.

      • Brian Peterson

This is a true story… I would blow that much easily, if I could have a civie MP7…. thought now that I think about the barrel length… they really need to get rid of the SBR class :-P.

    • Anonymoose

Maybe you could put an SBR’d B&T TP9 in there instead?

  • Lawbob

Where do you buy the bag? Is it unobtanium also?

  • ArkhamInmate

No civi should own such a thing.

    • Steven Brengard

Are you trying to start a war? Because thats how you start a war.

      • ArkhamInmate

The war was started with RECOIL magazine, lol. I should have put /sarc/ behind it for the historically challenged.

      • Sunshine_Shooter

That comment in RECOIL, about that exact gun, almost put that magazine under. Due to customer backlash and quick thinking, Ian was put in charge of RECOIL and made it the finest firearm print media on the market.

“Like we mentioned before, the MP7A1 is unavailable to civilians and for good reason. We all know that’s technology no civvies should ever get to lay their hands on. This is a purpose-built weapon with no sporting applications to speak of. It is made to put down scumbags, and that’s it. Mike Cabrera of Heckler & Koch Law Enforcement Sales and veteran law enforcement officer with SWAT unit experience points out that this is a gun that you do not want in the wrong, slimy hands. It comes with semi-automatic and full-auto firing modes only. Its overall size places it between a handgun and submachine gun. Its assault rifle capabilities and small size make this a serious weapon that should not be taken lightly.”- Jerry Tsai RECOIL MAGAZINE

To quote a certain business man: “WRONG”

  • Brocus

What kind of name is Arc’teryx Khard? Sounds like something from Key & Peele’s “East/West Bowl” sketches.

  • TheNotoriousIUD
  • Gary Kirk

Isn’t a pdw meant for quick reaction? “Hold on, lemme get my pack off, unzip, unpack, load, rack, alright.. Let’s go”

Edit: I guess there could be a mag in, round chambered.. But??

    • Sunshine_Shooter

Critical thinking > cool guy factor.

      • Gary Kirk

Take that as you’re with me??

        • Sunshine_Shooter

Yep. The bag looks to be made to look coo, not to be useful.

    • noob

      more like:
      “sigh” *unzip*

      • Sunshine_Shooter

        If I had a dollar…

  • roguetechie

I used to dream of something like a cross between an MP7 and the Halo m6 case less SMG.

In my dream there were two 50 round p90 esque magazines running along the barrel and receiver just below the 12 o clock pic rail and canted inward at around 60 degrees.

10 inch barrel, quick deploy stock like mp7, and 70-100 rounds on tap…

The thing would probably be insanely expensive even before the SBR stamp, but who can argue with a space age version of the damn Yankee gun you load on Sunday and shoot all week?

    • forrest1985

From the sounds of it, i imagine its the sort of concept that would probably end up with Crye or Magpul and never see the light of day for joe public.

      • roguetechie

        Almost certainly lol

It’d also be a pretty hefty piglet.

Damn, wouldn’t it be cool though?

They left out the naked swimsuit model.
