Black Friday 2016 Gun Deal Roundup (+ Poll)

Black Friday is just days and it would not be Black Friday for us without SlickGuns cataloging all the firearm, ammunition and accessory deals. This Black Friday is of special importance, being the first Black Friday after the 2016 Elections. The result of the election has put a damper on consumer demand, and in my opinion because of that the deals look better than they did last year. Our Black Friday 2016 Poll is at the bottom of this post.

Note: some deals require coupon codes, make sure you click the link to Slickguns to lookup the code.

    $30.74 for 1000 rounds of brass-cased .223?!?!

    • AFM

Unfortunately, it’s a typo. I did a double take myself, my UPS driver might have needed a coffee break after making a rather large delivery at my house!

      • Sunshine_Shooter

At that price, I’d buy some preworkout for the delivery guy. He’s gonna need it.

    • Slim934

      Typo. $308.74.

    • Anon

I got the vapors for a bit till I clicked the link, and at that price I think it’d justify me buying a gun to shoot it.

  • KAG

How about we NOT support Dicks! Do we not remember what they did not long ago? If I am not mistaken, their knee jerk reaction to quit selling ARs was quite the blow to a small firearms manufacture. Surely this blog can promote more appropriate stores to patronize.

  • it’s just Boris

I need to get one of those stockings for a friend in Seattle. She’s just about convinced Trump is going to come down her chimney on Christmas, after shooting down Santa with a Stinger and making floating glowing venison burgers.

    • Anomanom

Trump can’t come down my chimney: I DON’T HAVE ONE! HAHAHAHA

    • Russ Kell

HAH! Thanks for the chuckle this morning. That was awesome.

  • Paul White

I didn’t really see very many interesting deals. Kind of let down. Gander has a good price on mini mags, if they still have some in stock when I swing by I’ll grab a few hundred. But most of the deals are just meh

    • Anomanom

That SIG for USD 1380 is pretty good. If you need an AR.

      • Paul White

and have 1400 bucks laying around. I don’t, not that I can spend without cutting into savings.

        • G B

I think it’s time to use your savings to strengthen your investment portfolio with a brand new AR.

  • QuadGMoto

That poll is missing an option: Nothing At All

I haven’t seen any Black Friday deal for anything I wanted to spend any money on for years.

    • BlueMarlin Blues

agreed, all I ever see are deals on bottom of the barrel rifles and uppers manufactured by companies I’ve never heard of.

    • ozzallos .

The deals will come next year when manufacturers realize nobody is will to pay panic pricing anymore.

    • Sgt. Stedenko

I’ve been looking at getting a PTR 91 GIR.
Last week Buds had the rifle for $866
This Tuesday, they raised their price to $944.
Black Friday is for the mindless sheeple who pay for Chinese crap with credit cards and dont understand debt.

      • 22winmag

I picked up a barely used PTR A3R with 20 mags for $750 so you may want to consider the used route. It’s the diesel engine of .308 battle rifles!

      • Stan Darsh

I actually caught them doing the same damn thing with the PTR 91FR. It is still a better price than the ~$1200 Atlantic and CTD are currently charging, but it brought back memories of the b.s. Buds pulled last year.

  • TangledThorns

I’m skipping gun related shopping till next year. Thanks Trump!

    • carlcasino

Never pass up a real bargain.

  • Bill

There’s nothing I’ve been dying to get, and I figure that companies and businesses are setting on YUGE amounts of inventory in case the election went sideways. Of course, the election was win/win for those in the biz, but they’ll want to unload excess inventory eventually, and wont use holiday madness to implement fire-sale pricing.

  • Michigunner

This post says that PMC 5.56 will be on sale for $30.74 per 1000 rounds, free shipping even! I just, I wish, why, I, I , I can’t even… why can’t this be true??? Please change this before someone gets hurt, I just about cried tears of joy and I knew it was impossible even before I verified with the seller’s link. Some poor fool is going to have a heart attack!

  • Michigunner

$5 boxes of 9mil? That’s a good sign even if it is with a rebate. It would be nice to see 9mm FMJ at the sub $10 price point on a regular basis. I would like to think it may be feasible after a few years of an administration that is not 2A hostile. Buy it cheap, stack it deep!

  • Porty1119

Del-Ton has a site-wide 12% off uppers, parts kits, rifle kits, and other stuff, with free shipping for orders over $75. I will be taking advantage of it; I have a retro-ish build to complete…

  • Cymond

I am NOT leaving the house on Friday if I can avoid it.

However, I’m buying parts online. Actually, I have more parts picked out than I have budget available at the moment. I found a Pantheon Prometheus for $160 and a LAW Tactical folding adapter for $200, free shipping. Plus, $13 for M&P-15/22 magazines & ETS Glock mags.

Sadly, none of the parts I need for the AR-9 are on sale.

  • 22winmag

    It’s the ammo economy stupid!

That being said, it was sad to see Palmetto State Armory suddenly go from positively insane below wholesale prices on a WIDE VARIETY of ammo the last few years, to just a few unremarkable ammo deals this year.
