Leupold Adds New Scopes to VX-3i Line

    Leupold

Leupold & Stevens expanded the VX-3i line of rifle scopes with the introduction of a few new models. The new models are:

    • 1.75-6x 32mm
    • 4.5-14x 40mm
    • 6.5-20x 40mm
    • 8.5-25x 50mm

Earlier this year, Leupold introduced the VX-3i line with 15 different models. You can read more about those different models by clicking through to the TFB article on them here. The new rifle scopes have a suggested retail price of $499.99 to $1,129.99 depending on the model. Some models can optionally be had with a BDC dial or BDC reticle or both.

In general, these scopes are intended for hunting purposes. With the wide range of variable magnification and objective sizes, there is likely a scope for most any kind of hunting you might like to do.

Leuplod designed these scopes with an “aggressively redesigned power selector” that is said to make it “easy to grasp and turn…even with gloved hands.” The lenses are specially designed and coated to provide a very high level of light transmission across the color spectrum. Red and blue portions of the color spectrum are emphasized and are said to improve low light performance.

There are a number of good scope manufacturers on the market. I happen to like several of them, including Leupold. One of the reasons I like this company is I have found the products to be quite durable. Highlighting that aspect of the company’s product, they had a showcase of abused rifles with still working scopes at the SHOT Show this year.
