Michigan 2016 SMG Action Match

This looks like a lot of fun. I have seen videos of matches at Knob Creek and it seemed like a waste to use a machine gun. Shooting a semi auto would actually be more accurate and faster than using a machine gun. However some of the stage design in this video lend themselves to using machine guns as an advantage. Especially stage 2 where you need quite a few rounds on target to get the spinner to spin up and over. As well as the sled that you have to push with rounds on steel. That would take a lot longer with a semi auto.

The shooter is using an M11/9 with a Lage Max-11 upper, and a Bowers VERS-9s suppressor. The M11 looks to have a Cmore red dot.

    I like the last one.
    Nice bayonetting.

Some of those boys should consider a few deep knee bends every once in a while. Its hard to operate in an operational manner when you cant run from one end of the fixins bar to the other without stroking.

Come on, lighten up. These are good ol boys getting together to have some fun. Better than some Libtards going to the zoo to watch the animals….eat.

wonder why he didnt have Lage setup to shoot suomi drums instead? maybe not allowed or he didnt own one. The 72 rnd drum would cut down on all those mag changes.

I like the real life jams he was having around stage 3. Thats accurate in SMGs Im afraid.

30-round mag limit at that match, so no advantage with drums.

    I like. I like a lot!

People wonder what the point of a pistol caliber rifles is? Full automatic fire is where pistol caliber rifles shine. The ballistic per round suck, but you can put a ton of lead in one place very quickly. For quite a few roles, I’d rather have an SMG than a full rifle.

For civvie defensive purposes, a SMG is a better choice than a rifle, generally. More rounds on target, faster, lower recoil. If this were a free country, my HD choice would either be a P90 or a MP5k.
