Found this random photo of Putin wielding a PP-2000. It has a vertical grip with a large weapon light underneath. It is a somewhat new weapon that came out in 2004. It is a 9mm smg made by KBP Instrument Design Bureau.

Is he left eye dominant or it so appears?

    • ArkhamInmate

Good eye…based on how far over to the nose it appears he is viewing, I’d say that’s not an unreasonable assumption.

      • ArkhamInmate

        “reasonable” DOH

      • greek preparedness

easy to guess, being left eye dominant too. LOl

  • ArkhamInmate

Aaaannnnd finger on the boom switch. Of course he probably keeps it on “the button” while he sleeps so no surprise there.

    • wetcorps

In Soviet Russia, trigger disciplines YOU.

      • ArkhamInmate

I see what you did there. 😉

    • De Facto

He was probably dry firing it 😛

    • Edeco

I picture being able to push on that finger or bonk it toward the trigger with a wrench and that he’d still be able to hold it over the trigger without depressing the trigger, unless he wanted to depress it.

    • Don Ward

EHRMAGOD SOMEONE IS INNA PICTURE WITH THEIR FINGER ON THE TRIGGER!!!!1!!!11!!! IMMA SHOW MY TACTICAL ‘SPERIENCE BY POINTING IT OUT!!!

    • therealgreenplease

This man has had his finger on the trigger his whole life 🙂

    • Anomanom

Not pictured: The political opponent he personally executed immediately after the photo was taken.

  • TheNotoriousIUD

He shoots with both eyes open.
    Just in case.

    • John Yossarian

I shoot with both eyes open so that I have a larger field of view, including with scopes, and train the same for anyone who isn’t cross-eye dominant.

      • TheNotoriousIUD

I shoot with both eyes closed so my enemies dont know who is next.

        • Laughed hard enough to wake up my dog.

        • n0truscotsman

          HA!

  • John Yossarian

What I wouldn’t give for an army of disposable Putins. A race of atomic supermen which will conquer the world! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

  • me

    Stone cold.

  • Harrison Jones

Am I the only one who think he looks like a bond villain?

    • David W.

Homie, he IS a bond weapon!

      • gunsandrockets

        “weapon”?

Oh… so close! I think you meant ‘Putin IS a Bond super-villain’.

        • Scott Tuttle

thats just what I was thinking. someone needed to make one of those facebook ‘quizzes’ that asks ‘bond villain or putin?’

    • John Yossarian

He’s a dapper badass – Putin’ on the Ritz!

      • iksnilol

        • therealgreenplease

Why does this picture exist? Lol

    • Tritro29

Nope half of Russia thinks he should put the Blond Bond out of his misery. At least it would be accurate for once. Also this kind of pictures is why this sad man is becoming President Tsar for life. Please. Don’t let him follow me in here, I have already half my family reminding me how awsome he is. And I have nothing vs VVP, it’s just that I’ve been accustomed to change. I hope that the SVR agent reading this blog, will not find me too soon.

      • ChierDuChien

Sorry to NOPE your nope, but Putin enjoys the support of about 80% of Russians in a University of Wisconsin-Madison poll from late last year. UW-M is a very liberal enclave.

Russia was transformed from a has-been pissant back to a world power by Putin. Too bad our leaders don’t put the USA first.

        • John Yossarian

Guess you never heard of Donald Trump.

        • Tritro29

I never said the other Half wanted to see VVP dead, but only one dreams about a Bond 27 with Vova playing the next Bond. Russia has been transformed, yes, but not the way you think. It’s been rendered more serious, and Russians get serious only about two things. Marriage and War. That’s not good news. End of story, you don’t want Serious Russians.

      • TJbrena

Pretty sure the Spetssvyaz or the FSB would be the one monitoring you.

        • Tritro29

Not really as I ‘m not within the sweet embrace of the Rodina. And this is not military secret stuff. Believe me friend. I know which wolf hunts which rabbit.

    • Budogunner

He has actually written some very good technical manuals on the sport of Judo. He’s a legitimate badass.

      • bee O bee

Compared to our ‘girly-man’ Obama, he certainly is.

  • Lance

Makes him remember his KGB days.

  • Anonymoose

A true classic, just like this picture.

  • De Facto

Still want one of those. As well as the Russian +P++ 9mm. Wannnnnnt.

    • Blake

PP-2000 shooting 7N21/7N31 on full-auto must be incredibly hard to control; meanwhile I imagine the “magazine stock” digs a hole in your shoulder.

However, it does have an Uzi-like 600rpm low rate of fire so if you can control a micro-Uzi you can probably control PP-2000 with standard 9mm, & I suppose a lot of the guys using them will be resting that stock on body armor anyway…

  • Blake

The PP-2000 is everything a PDW should be: compact, light, powerful, easy to shoot accurately (spare mag can be used as a stock). More info:

  • HKGuns

Barry, sitting in the White House pissing his pants right now.

    • bee O bee

It’s OK, he’s wearing his Kotex today so it won’t show on his pants.

  • SP mclaughlin

It has a LAM on top instead of sights anyway.

  • Drake

Is me or does his body guard guy behind look like most unhappy person in room in that photo.

  • Steve

    Finger of the trigger, Vlad

    • Blake

      He’s probably dry-firing it…

    • Sgt. Stedenko

You’ve never dry fired a gun or are you just mad no one cares to photograph you?
      Spare me your tacticool observations.

  • Don Ward

Don’t worry America. Our leader knows his way around a shooting iron too!

  • demophilus

“Oh , but you WILL, Mr. Bond — or Miss Lottapussy will DIE! BWA HA HA HA HAH!”

  • Uniform223

its entertaining (in a sad way) how the Russian Government controlled media always tries to play up Putin.

    • Vlad

It’s even more interesting how western MSM reports *exclusively* on bad new about/from Russia, and has an obsession with what I call “cult of Putin” where he, like an omnipotent God, is reponsible for anything and everything.

    • Sgt. Stedenko

And the Western press does nothing like this in pimping Obama?
That light you see is the exit to the cave. You should try on walking outside once in a while.

  • John Adams

Putin is obviously a man who knows his way around firearms. Regardless of what we think of his politics, he’s one of the few 1st world leaders who could field strip, probably just about any pistol or rifle out there with little to no effort.

    • MrEllis

Also one that just straight up kills his political enemies…

      • John Yossarian

So do the Bushes and Clintons. “Who’s being naive, Kay?”

        • MrEllis

Move to Stalinist Russia, then you can adore Putin up close.

          • John Yossarian

Do you really think that’s the only choice – Between Hillary or Putin? I hope you’re joking. AND – I reiterate my “Godfather” quote.

          • MrEllis

Way to edit your comment. Also, so far out of context now. I’m bowing out of this tinfoil hat crap.

  • DW

How does Putin shoot a gun?
    .
    .
    .
    .

    Putin’ rounds on target.

now read it in Larry Vicker’s voice.

  • Maro Vlasic

    da REAL PRESIDENT!!!!!

  • livingonenergydrinks

I can see some day Putin becoming a guest writer for TFB.

    • Dan

I would actually like to see that.

  • Blake

Found another pic from the same event via Reddit: http://i.imgur.com/CbBzTAX.jpg

  • NZHUNTAHR

    LMAO

  • Sgt. Stedenko

    Can I play

  • steveday72

Oh how I wish we could’ve traded Obama for Putin back in 2009!
