J.W. Aquirre Rocking A S&W 627

Remember J.W Aquirre? He was taught by Max Michel. Here is the article I posted back in March. J.W is 9 years old and has been shooting since last September. His technique on reloads is amazing for someone so young. Now he has moved on from semi auto to revolvers. Here is a video of his second match with the S&W 627. His revolver reload is smooth and fast.

Excellent! If those are .357s and not .38 then I admire his control for his age. Heck, even with .38s he still can do better than a lot of adults (especially me).

    • Considering it is USPSA I guarantee you it is minor loaded 38 spc.

That would explain the lack of recoil. THNX. In no way diminishes how well he shoots.

        • Anyone that can run a revolver trigger at speed, can run any gun at speed if they put their mind to it.

    Outstanding young man!
    As gunny would say!

Is there a special youth category or is there serious risk for senior shooters to be smoked by a 9 years old?

  • Tassiebush

What an awesome kid and awesome parents for supporting him. Good work!

Kid shoots better than most of my CHL students…sad really…

Excellent trigger control for such a young age, watching the video his shots seem slow. However, watch his reloads as they are quick, the shots are accurate and consistent. Speed comes with experience and this kid has a long career ahead.
