My new CZ, Dan Wesson Guardian. It’s a LW Commander with a bobtail. Dan Wesson uses a ramped barrel which insures reliable feeding and prevents the anodizing from chipping off the frame as with other LW Commanders. Fit and finish is standard Dan Wesson quality. I can shoot 1 inch groups at ten yards with the gun benched. The gun is probably more capable.

I like it!

Same gun my wife carries everyday. Very first mag she ever fired out of the gun was used to chop down a 2″ thick pine tree and she had two rounds left! Awesome gun!

Good thing I keep my wallet far, far away when I read TFB…

Every time I see a DW Guardian or CCO, I get the itch for another 1911, which is saying something, since I’m 0 for 2 on functioning ones.

Cost? May have to finance one soon…

According to their website, MSRP is in the 1.6k$ range.

What gun do you mean to say that the price is $1,600?

        • Giolli Joker

The MSRP on the Dan Wesson website for this Guardian is around $1,600.

I bought a Valor and was so impressed I had to buy this Guardian.

I’m happy that CZ/DW remember the old concept of class and reject the current trend of using slide faces as billboards.
Just a small name in italics, subtle signature, enough to identify the gun without catching too much attention.
    Kudos to them.

Agreed. Also they didn’t slap a bunch of circus colors on to it or over do the grip texturing.
