Nifty Desktop Mini-Cannon

If, like me, you regularly need to defend your desktop against assaults from nefarious wine glasses and coke bottles, then the Pocket Artillery mini-cannon is for you. These CNC-machined blackpowder cannons have a stainless .177 caliber barrel and colored anodized aluminum base.

These cannons should be legal wherever blackpowder muzzleloading pistols are legal. The website is taking pre-orders for $29 or the equivalent in bitcoins

  • That’ll take care of your cube mates with their USB controlled foam rocket launchers.

So would these get classified by the media as AK-47s or Glocks?

    • A: Glock…. there is no “banana clip”.

    • John Doe

      AK-47. It’s not a black handgun.

    • David

Neither, it would be “pocket artillery capable of putting holes in (doll) houses and massive (…to a pop can….) destruction”

  • Oswald Bastable

In NZ, they would only be available on a collectors license, as the barrel is too short. (in other words, you can own one, but not fire it.)

    A full-sized cannon- not a problem…

    • Of course Oz they have to catch you first. Now if we can just get the shipper to put “model parts” on the packaging.

I know that these are just supposed to be novelty items, but I’m having visions of home office gun owners accidentally putting tiny .177 holes in their walls, computer monitors, windows and pets. Throw in a sparkly Mission Impossible style fuse and you’re just asking for people to be hilariously irresponsible.

‘Hey dude, check it out, I bet I can hit the lamp from here…oops.’

‘Hey, isn’t that one of your wedding pictures?’

    ‘Quick, run!’

You sound like an idiot gun grabber. Think before you post stupid things on the Internet.

      • No, sadly, he sounds like someone who understands most people, gun owners or not, sometimes suffer from tiny lapses in judgement. Frankly, I have to agree with him.

And I very well may be doing some of this stuff myself because this cannon looks really cool…. lol…. Always wanted a reason to buy cannon fuse.

I will have to check in to the barrel length issue, however.

It was meant to be a little joke. But like DaGryphon, I know plenty of people who would accidentally misuse this toy, much like they do with air rifles, paint ball markers, airsoft guns, fire crackers, bottle rockets, roman candles and nail guns. That’s alcohol for ya. 😉

I’m not saying I want it banned, I’m just saying that some people are irresponsible and that painful comedy accidents (which make me laugh) will ensue. I look forward to seeing the results on You Tube soon.

I’m sure plenty of guys on this site would agree with me when I say we should keep idiots away from dangerous things like say, guns, mini-cannons, explosives, etc.

  • Hahahaha! I look forward to sharing this with everyone I know. Well, on second thought, maybe not everyone… I like to have the tactical advantage.

  • Lance

    Looks cute

  • Lance

    Have on in .22lr caliber?

  • ianmillion

Just (pre) ordered one, can’t wait to terrorize the co-workers. I mean, use it responsibly.

  • surgeon591

Awesome! I’ll be buying one or two for myself and maybe a few more to give away as xmas gifts

Would be nice if their site was a little more detailed though, I think this could be be a great success

  • Wonderful Web site. You should think more about RSS Feeds as a traffic source. They bring me a nice bit of traffic
