MasterPiece Arms MPA22-T Pistol

The MPA22-T Pistol is a new MAC-10 styled pistol chambered in .22 LR. From the press release ...

The MPA22-T has a 5.25” threaded barrel with muzzle break, 1:16 barrel twist- RH and comes with a 30-round polymer magazine. It has 3.3 lbs trigger pull and a Parkerized finish. Because it was developed from the Mini 9mm frame, all available Mini 9 accessories will fit the MPA22T platform.

This new MAC is available in both the traditional top-cocker version (MPA22T-A) and as a side-cocker/scope mount version (MPA22SST-A).

I like this.

I wonder what the trigger slap is like on the .22′s. Does anybody know of a fix for that because the little clear, rubber boot they slide over it doesn’t help much.

What purpose does this even serve? No way is that for hunting or sporting use.

    Exactly! :)

Hope they sell all they canmake.

    …Okay.

For some reason, I find my self asking yet again: Why?

Worthless like a real make ten. A 1022 or MP-5(.22) is a lot better choice.

    Tony,

Because it’s a .22lr and .22lr are fun to shoot. You don’t have to worry if you have enough money to eat at the end of the day with .22lr ammo.

Looks like a fun plinking gun. Shoot up a 500 round brick on a nice summer afternoon and it costs less than a couple of beers at a local pub. Worth spending the money for some fun.

The little Jeff Cooper on one shoulder says, “Don’t buy one! It’s useless!”.
The little Don Johnson on the other shoulder says “Hell yeah! And get a bren Ten too!”

As long as its welded together properly and feeds worth a damn, it should be nice. If that really is a 3.3 pound pull, it could be amazing even. But, given the rep MAC’s have, this will probably be in the same league as all the other tec/wannabe gangster um, stuff out there.

Yeah, it probably is completely pointless, but man, it does look like fun :) I can see suppressors coming out for this in short order, if not already on the drawing board at least.

xstang- I know the MAC has had a bad rep over the years, but let me tell you, I have toured the MasterPiece Arms plant in Georgia where these things are now made, and I would like to ease the minds of anyone who may worry about previous reputation. The guys who now own MasterPiece Arms take this gun very seriously. THey put passion, hard work, and acute attention to detail into every MAC they produce. These aren’t the guys who made the earlier versions of the MAC. These guys are the real deal and they cut no corners in their work! They want to bring the MAC back as a quality, fun firearm with new innovations that offer something to every shooter. Give em a try! You will Love these guns!

Its a well built .22lr from MPA that offers a cheaper platform for shooters to save some money. Its a bit finicky on the brands of ammo that it likes to shoot. we sell some upgrades for it already that make it more comfortable to shoot.
