A couple of months ago, while reading the news from Arms & Hunting 2019 exhibition, I learned that the Barnaul Cartridge Plant has introduced steel-cased 300 Blackout ammunition. It was immediately clear to me that this ammunition can’t be aimed to the domestic market because .300 Blackout is not a thing in Russia. You literally can’t find in Russia guns chambered in .300 Blackout.

We shoot Wolf Gold .45 Auto 185 gr semi jacketed hollow point ammunition produced by Prvi Partizan from a 1911A1 with a 5″ barrel into Clearballistics ballistic gel and measure velocity, penetration, expansion/fragmentation, and retained weight.

VSO (Vigilant Spectre Operations) gun channel tests Wolf Gold a common “cheap” ammo loading typically from Asia to M-193 specifications. To give viewers some perspective, they also test PMC Bronze (also loaded in Asia, typically South Korea), which shoots roughly similar out of the test rifle.

During the 2014 SHOT Show, WOLF Performance Optics introduced their new PSU 1x/4x Variable Zoom Optical Gunsight. If everything goes as planned this new sight will be available in the later part of 2014. WOLF Performance Optics is the sister company of WPA (WOLF Performance Ammunition). Many TFB readers already know WPA from their affordable imported steel and brass cased ammunition.

The Military Arms Channel has reviewed the new Wolf Gold 5.56mm ammunition. Unlike traditional Wolf ammunition steel is not used in either the case or the bullet. They are apparently manufactured in Taiwan.
