The current sniper rifles in the Swedish Army are the PSG90 and the AG90. The AG90 is the Barret M82 in .50 BMG and the PSG90 is made by Accuracy International in .308 Win. The M82 is more of an anti-material rifle than a sniper rifle.

Most of the articles and news I write come out of a personal interest and a curiosity to learn more, and hopefully share the same to our readers.

TFB TV actually took a trip to the Austrian located factory of Ritter & Stark last year. We were able to look at the internal factory work being done on the rifles before they get shipped over to the United States. At SHOT 2018 we were also able to take a look at both the long action SX-1 MTR and the newer short action SLX rifle.

Over the last several episodes, Patrick has shown you how the Ritter & Stark SX-1 is made, what is coming next, and what inspired the level of detail that Ritter& Stark has put into the SX-1. The SX-1 has an impressive set of features that allow a shooter to quickly change from .308 Winchester to .300 Win Mag to .338 Lapua Mag without re-zeroing your scope since the scope mount is attached to the removable barrel.

The Ritter & Stark SLX precision rifle was rolled out at IWA just recently, but no one outside of Ritter & Stark has had the chance to take the rifle out to the range to get an idea what the prototype will do. In this episode of TFBTV, Patrick is still at the Ritter & Stark facility and seizes the opportunity to give TFBTV viewers the closest look anyone has had of the exciting new rifle.

Ritter & Stark is reasonably new to the market and brings a very young approach to firearms manufacturing. Their SX-1 rifle boasts a .5 MOA guarantee as a result of the precise manufacturing processes used.

We traveled to Austria to see how Ritter & Stark is making some of the most advanced factory rifles on the market, but to totally understand the thought process behind what they do we were invited to tour EPT Precision Technologies. I have been told that EPT has been in the gun making game for over 300 years and some of the machines on site date back to just after the First World War.

IWA Outdoor Classics is a gigantic trade exhibition in Nürnberg, Germany.

Ritter & Stark announced a new rifle line that starts with the SLX-308. The new rifle will be formally introduced to the public at the March 3 opening of the IWA Classics in Nuremberg, Germany this week.

Ritter & Stark is a newly formed firearms manufacturing company in southern Austria. At the recent AUSA 2016, the company unveiled their flagship product, the SX-1 Modular Tactical Rifle (MTR). The rifle is an Austrian take on the PSR style rifles that are currently sweeping the tactical precision long gun world. By that I mean a convertible barrel system from .308 Win, .300 Win Mag, and .338 Lapua, in addition to having a folding buttstock and modular components.

Ritter & Stark will introduce its SX-1 Modular Tactical Rifle (MTR) to the US market at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition next month. TFB readers got a sneak peek of this gun in May when Steve published a number of guns that were on display at the Defense Services Asia Exhibition & Conference.
