POTD: The Navy Seal Robert O'Neill (NSRO) Rifle
You’re watching and reading TFB’s Photo Of The Day and we’re having a look at Watchtower Firearms‘ Navy Seal Robert O’Neill (NSRO) Rifle. Robert J. O’Neill is one of the USA’s most highly decorated combat veterans who served at SEAL Team Two, SEAL Team Four, and eight years at the legendary SEAL Team Six.
TFB Behind The Gun Podcast #52: Former Navy SEAL Travis Kennedy
A couple of weeks back TFBTV’s Hop and I had a chance to head out with the good folks from Smith & Wesson to get some range training with two very experienced firearms instructors. The first of those was the legendary Jerry Miculek who is well-known both as a speed shooter and a competitive shooter. In addition to Jerry’s training course, we were also able to learn from Travis Kennedy, a former Navy SEAL and current firearms instructor at his own training company, Kennedy Defensive Solutions. Travis’ training heavily focuses on beginner-level fundamentals and safety so that people who come to his class can become safe and efficient with their rifles and pistols. Travis also has advanced combined carbine and pistol courses for those who have a grasp on the fundamentals, and want to get some more curated high-intensity training using Travis’ experience as a NAVY SEAL, as well as a former Federal law enforcement officer.
POTD: Republic of Korea Navy SEALs
The year 2022 started with a bang and lingers on, and our Photo Of The Day has never been so diversified. We’ve been from Novosibirsk, driven hunts to the Japanese jungle and we still have several months to go before the year is over. Today we have members of the Republic of Korea Navy Special Warfare Flotilla (UDT/SEAL) and United States Army Special Forces (Green Berets) performing a helocast and MOUT training during RIMPAC 2022.
POTD: Thai and US Navy SEALs in Cobra Gold Exercise
Photo Of The Day and a look at Cobra Gold 19 where Thai and US Navy SEALs work together to seize a ship using special tactics. That boat looks quite interesting.
Which Gun Does Navy SEAL Jack Carr Like Best for Concealed Carry?
In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves chats with Jack Carr about the pistols and holsters that Jack – a former Navy SEAL and a New York Times best-selling author – carries on a day to day basis. And note that these two carry nerds are filming this video from Clint and Heidi Smith’s house on Thunder Ranch! You may be surprised by Jack’s two picks. Hint: They are both from the same company. (And as usual, this is not a sponsored video – i.e., these are the guns Jack really carries every day, not what we got paid to tell you he carries every day). We also talk books, podcasts, and social media. Check it out.
POTD: NAVY SEALs with Kalashnikovs
Know your enemy and your enemy’s weapon systems. This is the topic for Today’s Pictures, as the NAVY SEALs show off using Kalashnikovs in a very, very wet environment.
Navy Seal Turned Missouri Governor Elect
Yes, TFB is firearms and not politics. But how awesome is this commercial for Eric Greitens, Governor Elect of Missouri? Greitens is a former Navy Seal. In the commercial he looks to be using an SBR with quad rail, Eotech, DBAL, and Surefire X300. He “takes aim” and shoots at something explosive. possibly tannerite and gasoline? I don’t recognize the exact make and model of AR he is using. Can anyone identify it?
[Big 3 East] Triumph Systems Robot Target Systems
Last year, Triumph Systems made their debut at Big 3 East in October 2015. Jared Ogden, CEO, co-founder of Triumph systems and a former Navy SEAL, showed us a prototype of his Pivotal Trainer. It was raw and unrefined but the potential it showed was exciting. The prototype did as advertised. It holds a shoot/no-shoot target and there is a motor that spins the target to show the edge profile or either side. The motor is controlled wireless by a remote. You can manually choose which side to show the shooter or you can set it to automatically rotate. What we did not get to see was the final product.
FrogLube CLP and Solvent
I used to be a Hoppe’s No. 9 guy, and I’ve tried other CLP (cleaner, lubricant, preservative) products and they work fine. But I’m always in search of products that make my life easier. Over the past few months, FrogLube has kept my guns clean and well functioning. So now, I’m a FrogLube guy.
