The Canadian Armed Forces are set to adopt variants of Colt Canada’s MRR as the Canadian Modular Assault Rifle (CMAR). The announcement stated that more than 65,000 rifles will be procured over the next 5 years to replace the Colt Canada C7 rifles and C8 carbines currently in Canadian service.

Denmark Signs Contract for 26,000 New Colt Canada Modular Rail Rifles

Denmark’s armed forces have used Colt Canada C7 and C8 rifles since the early 1990s, on 21 August, the Ministry of Defence's Materiel and Procurement Agency (Forsvarsministeriets Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse) signed a contract with Colt Canada for new rifles for the Defence Forces (Forsvaret) and Home Guard (Hjemmeværnet).

In terms of optics, we have Elcan SpecterDRs with VooDoo-S thermal sights in front of them. These thermals are made by Pixels on Target, and provide quite a nice setup for day and night operations. The Danish Army uses the M60E6 as its general-purpose machine gun and has over 600 of them. You can see one of them right below.

Photo Of The Day and we take a closer look at Danish soldiers with the standard issue Gevær M/10 C8IUR, delivered by Colt Canada. Generally, the accessories are the ELCAN C79A2 or Aimpoint CompM4s sights with DBAL A3 lasers, but as you can see in these images, there seems to be some room for personalization. The backup sights are the Magpul MBUS Flip-up sights.
