POTD: The Honey Badger 2025 - Titanium & Germanium
Imagine having chemical elements like Germanium and Titanium at your fingertips, and being able to craft them to their finest. This is where we’re at, in 2025, with 3D printed suppressors reducing most of the noise of those heavy 300 BLK pills, and thermal imaging in conjunction with semiconductors and firmware, that break through darkness and fog like they didn’t exist.
Add to that, a day LPVO optic so clear it makes grown men weep, with polished lenses as if they were made by elves. Except this one is hand-made in Germany, with an illuminated reticle and DMR/MIL holdovers for long range accuracy - or a red dot, should you prefer. After all, the CC in its name stands for Close Combat. I bet you didn’t think about the mount? The Spuhr hunting series really blends in. Is this the ultimate truck gun?
The suppressor is from Vanward, a Norwegian company specializing in designing and producing 3D printed suppressors in Titanium. This is probably the only suppressor I could keep just based on its looks. As you move the reflections in the hexagon pattern come to life, but the OD Green version is a bit more matte than the black.
The magazine is from HERA Arms, their 10-round maximum version, hence the red limiter you can barely see.
All-in-all, a fine weapon system, but I think we might have forgotten a laser?

Wow! The optic is huge for that gun! No one would set up like that but it looks like a great gaming weapon!
Fun fact. Trace amounts of Germanium are edible. Large amounts of germanium are toxic to humans. The original PAS 13 user manual warned Marines and Soldiers from eating the germanium lens of their thermal optics.
