I, for one, am a fan of the race to the bottom focusing on weight in the modern sporting rifle market. Now, its possible for someone to build a sub 4-lbs sporting rifle using commercially available parts.
As a new option for the growing popularity of low-weight parts, ATI has their TactLite stock. which comes in at a scant 5.85 ounces. Its just shy of the MFT Minimalist stock (which is only .05 ozs lighter), but adds a more traditional shape and the ability to add a cheek riser.
It also endeavors to keep your wallet heavier. At an MSRP of $50, its a bargain for the lightweight builder. Check it out at ATI’s website.
