The Beretta 21A Bobcat has been a long-time favorite of rimfire shooters and Beretta firearm fams alike. This year at SHOT Show they unveiled what many people have been itching for – a threaded barrel version of the 21A Bobcat. Soon you will be able to mount your .22 caliber suppressor to the end of a bobcat for the ultimate compact and covert pistol.
[SHOT 2020] Beretta’s 21A Bobcat will Soon Come with a Threaded Barrel
Now, Beretta plans to ship the bobcats directly from the factory using threaded barrels and eventually, a suppressor height front sight in order to give you better accuracy.
There are also talks of possibly using a proprietary suppressor that has integrated sights but this is yet to be confirmed by Beretta as the Bobcat with the threaded barrel is still being developed on its own.
We can expect to start seeing the threaded barrel version of the Beretta 21A sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. Beretta will have at least two versions of the threaded barrel out by that time, one of which has been dubbed the Beretta “21A Bobcat Covert.” The Covert version features nice dark wood grips and a matte black finish.
There will also be a version of the Bobcat called the “21A Bobcat FDE” that will feature a threaded barrel as well. Personally, I am very excited to see either one of the pistols come to the market. It’s always nice when you have the option of mounting a suppressor or other muzzle device to get a different shooting experience.
Big thanks to Beretta’s South Territory Manager – Joseph King for taking the time to talk with me about the new Beretta 21A Bobcat Covert.
