The Kimber rep even mentioned plans to make a Sapphire 1911 with a black frame. Not sure if it will be the Ultra II or Pro II. My friend Ben, gunsmith at Kimber, came up with that combination early last year. I got a chance to shoot it. His was a Ultra II with a black frame. He called it “Sapphire Noir”. Im trying to get a picture of it and will update when I get it.
