Volquartsen Firearms announced the company was now offering a range of laminated thumbhole stocks for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown rifle. The stocks are designed for ambidextrous use and are available in nine different color options.

Currently, the color options are:

• blue
• brown
• brown and gray
• gray
• green
• orange
• pink
• red
• yellow

According to Volquartsen, each stock is individually made and not mass manufactured on a duplicator. As with the company’s other laminated stocks, these are CNC machined with the inletting done while the blank is at its most rigid. According to the company, this allows them to machine to much tighter tolerances. The stocks weigh 2.5 pounds.

The suggested retail price on these stocks is $350 regardless on color.

Volquartsen also offers a lightweight carbon fiber barrel for the 10/22 Takedown. This barrel assembly is deigned as a drop in modification that inlcudes two Picatinny mounting rails and all of the required hardware for installation. Volquartsen uses a barrel tensioning system in this assembly. The barrel is threaded (1/2″x28) and includes a thread protector. The barrel assembly weighs in at an even two pounds. This barrel kit has a retail price of $315.

Volquartsen also offers fully customized 10/22 rifles including the Takedown model. Recently, the company announced it was offering a limited run of 10/22 Takedown models with a Magpul OD green stock.
