Viridian Weapon Technologies continues to expand its lineup of aftermarket optics with new sighting solutions for Taurus pistols as well as the Rossi Brawler.

    New options for Taurus

Viridian now offers the RFX11 and RFX35 Custom green-dot sights for Taurus pistols. According to the Viridian website, the RFX11 Custom will fit the Shield RMSc footprint and the RFX35 Custom will fit the RMR footprint.

These lightweight green-dot reflex sights with 3 MOA reticles have 30,000-hour battery life from a CR2032 cell, with either user-activated power-on, or auto power-on. Their auto power-off function kicks in after two minutes. The RFX11 is weatherproof to an IPX4 standard; the RFX35 is weatherproof to an IPX6 standard. Both have automated brightness levels and come with a limited lifetime warranty. The MSRP for the RFX11 Custom is $199; the MSRP for the RFX35 is $299.

    Rossi Brawler option

As for the Rossi Brawler: This is a cut-down version of the Rossi Tuffy break-action single-shot shotgun. The Brawler is classified as a pistol thanks to American laws, but it’s the same basic gun, with a pistol grip and a nine-inch barrel. It will fire .45 Long Colt or .410 shells.

Viridian has a green laser sight for the Brawler, fitting to the front of the trigger guard. It has an ambidextrous on/off button, with a five-minute auto power-off. Although this is certainly a close-range weapon, Viridian says the laser has a 100-yard range in daylight. The laser is constantly on and will last for six hours of battery life. It can be adjusted for windage and elevation.

Depending on your usage of the Brawler, this could be a useful upgrade. Also note that this laser sight will fit the Rossi Tuffy shotgun, too, although not many users are upgrading their single-shot break-barrel shotguns with laser sights.

Viridian put a $149 MSRP on the Brawler. See more info on their website here.
