    SK Guns/SK Customs @ TFB:

These new Leonardo da Vinci series pistols are just as striking and impressive as previous models from the Early Italian Renaissance series we have covered before. With their proprietary process of adding vibrant colors to metal, these surely will be a conversation piece for anyone who want to add one to their collection.

Haymarket, Virginia – April 12th, 2024 – SK Customs®, the Nation’s only series-driven, limited-edition manufacturer of custom firearms, is proud to announce the release of the “Leonardo da Vinci” Springfield Armory limited-edition engravers model 1911, chambered in 45 ACP. This is the second installment of a four-part collection of handguns inspired by the art and innovation of the Early Italian Renaissance.

“Leonardo da Vinci made remarkable contributions to the Italian Renaissance and the world as a painter, engineer, scientist, sculptor and so much more,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Customs. “The features of the handgun pay tribute to his greatest artistic works. And as an engineer who designed war machines, the gun itself is a tribute to da Vinci’s contributions and long-lasting effects on modern society.”

SK Customs uses proprietary color conversion engineering to create a violet color that is highly reflective and permanent. Leonardo da Vinci features genuine imported Italian Olivewood grip panels engraved with Italy’s Fleur de Lis which are hand-painted to match the violet accents on the slide.

SK Customs applies a semi-polished finish on the frame and the slide flats and a high-polished finish on the barrel of the firearm. There is selective 24-karat gold plating on the artwork featured on this handgun and on select parts of the gun itself.

The Leonardo da Vinci series is part of a much greater Early Italian Renaissance series, and they will be a limited-edition firearm, with only 250 numbered units being released per firearm. The MSRP of the da Vinci models will begin at $2,405. As always, let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
