POTD: The Pindad SS2 Assault Rifle
Today on Photo Of The Day we have at least one very unusual firearm, namely the Pindad SS2 assault rifle chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO. The SS1 and SS2 are made under a license from Fabrique Nationale in Belgium in the PT Pindad factory in Indonesia. I was trained on an FN FNC service rifle, but it still took me a while to see the resemblance as I was too focused on the upper part.
All captions says that these are the Pindad SS1 rifles, but I’m pretty sure (not 100%) that they are SS2s. Do we have any experts among our readers who can confirm the model, and help us out in the comments?

Super Garuda Shield 2023 is an annual exercise that has significantly grown in scope and size since 2009. SGS2023 is the second consecutive time this exercise has grown into a combined and joint event, highlighting the 7 participating and 12 observing nations’ commitment to partnership and a free and open Indo-Pacific.

Hear me out; have the Indonesians sell us everything but receivers and barrels, so we can get new FNCs.
Alex Robinson tried to import these before he brought in the VEPR's.
