SILENCER SATURDAY #293: Silencer Central Summer – Banish Silencers -August Recap

Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to TFB’s Silencer Saturday brought to you by Yankee Hill Machine, manufacturers of the new YHM R45 Multi-Host Suppressor. Last week I ran the Silencer Central Banish 46 through with some subsonic .300BLK and .45-70 Gov’t. There are more Silencer Central reviews coming up in a few weeks, so let’s do a summer recap the of the Banish silencers we’ve seen to date. We can pumpkin spice it up in a few weeks with a couple .22LR suppressors.

* I realize that the sledgehammer is a bit out of place, but I thought it made for a cool shot. I have no affiliation with Rogue Fitness, but if you are into functional workouts, it’s pretty awesome. Check it out.

Editor’s Note: Silencer Center advertises with TFB. I do my best to be impartial with every review and I don’t handle or profit from any of the advertising contracts at TFB – I just shoot, photograph, and write about silencers.

SILENCER SATURDAY #293: Silencer Central Summer – Banish Silencers – August Recap

We’ve come a long way in the last few months – some of you may not have heard of Silencer Central before our reviews. Others may have been skeptical after reading forum posts from people who probably have never shot a Banish suppressor. And I will admit, the prices in comparison to the competing brands/models are a bit high. Again, if they are selling them at these levels, capitalism is working.

But where the rubber meets the road – performance, adaptability, modularity, the Banish series is giving everyone else a run for their money.

I have three favorites in the following order: the Banish Backcountry, the Banish 46, and the Banish 30 Gold. The Backcountry is exactly what a utility/hunting suppressor should be; compact, light, with solid performance. As much as I shy away from recommending do-it-all universal suppressors, the Banish 46 is an exception, handling almost any host in your safe with class. And the Banish 30 Gold is all about performance, suppressing .30 caliber rounds with delight.

In a few weeks, we’ll have four additional Silencer Central reviews coming your way:

And I haven’t forgotten about the .450 Bushmaster review – it’s coming.
Have a great week. Be safe, have fun, and we’ll see you back here next weekend for another Silencer Saturday.
