With some great changes coming to the ATF Forms system, buying a suppressor is getting easier by the day. I don’t necessarily have any hope that wait times will come down by a significant amount but I’m at least happy that the agency is moving in a direction that at least makes it easier for us to get our part done before we sit on our hands for 9 months waiting for that approval letter to come back. I’ve been doing a lot of talking with gun owners from across the world to figure out what gun culture and gun law is like in other parts of the world and to my surprise, it’s almost universally agreed upon in nearly every country besides the United States that suppressors are a safety device rather than a mythical silent murdering tool that is used by Agent 47 and other shiny headed assassins.
