A few weeks back I had the opportunity to attend an event hosted by Vista Outdoors in which Bushnell Optics was featured. At the event, myself and other writers within the industry were treated to a first-hand look and experience of Bushnell’s new Performance Eyewear lineup that was accomplished through a partnership with Mirage Occhiali – an Italian sunglasses designer. While at the event, we had a chance to test out the new eyewear and see their entire lineup. The new Bushnell Performance Eyewear lineup is available now for those interested.

The new lineup of Bushnell Performance Eyewear was developed with the goal of helping out hunters, shooters, fishers, and all sorts of other outdoorsmen who need a durable and versatile set of protective eyewear. The new eyewear features an impact rating consistent with ANSI Z87.1 safety standards against high mass and velocity impacts.

The new Bushnell collection features a variety of lens styles and colors as well as frame designs from the well-known Mirage Occhiali sunglasses company. The new eyewear is also chemical and solvent resistant to prevent cracking, and lens degradation due to chemical exposure and is also quite lightweight across the board. In total, there will be 9 new designs being launched initially with one of my favorites being their new Ultra Harrier Sheild Sunglasses.

The Ultra Harriers in particular were my favorite for a few reasons. The first being that they gave me a nearly 100% unobstructed view where other glasses tend to let the frame get in the way. In addition, the Harriers come with 3 interchangeable shields so you can adjust to conditions on the fly. One unique lens, in particular, is their Transition lenses which offer a completely clear view with overcast days and a tinted view for when the sun comes out.

It appears, however, that I have an expensive taste as their Ultra Harrier Shield Sunglasses retail for $199.00 while every other pair in the new lineup comes in at just $129.00 according to their website. Bushnell’s new lineup of Performance Eyewear will also be available at framieyewear.com. What are your thoughts on this new lineup of eyewear from Bushnell and Mirage? Let us know down in the comments.
