One of NVD’s main specialties is customized NVG solutions, including packages with optional extras like helmets, mounts, and IR laser/illuminator devices.

Now NVD has announced a new and improved product option for your see-in-the-dark (and shoot-in-the-dark) technology. New for August 2021, they are offering an updated version of the sacrificial window, sometimes also referred to as a sacrificial lens or sacrificial filter, which is designed to fit many of the market’s most popular NODs available today. Traditional sac windows, including those issued in accessory kits to members of the US military in many cases, are generally slightly larger and bulkier than NVD’s new Lightweight Sacrificial Window offering. Most notably, these can limit your options for objective end caps and covers, since the standard sac lens fits over the end of your device with protrusions on its outer ring. Night Vision Devices is pleased to announce the release of new Sacrificial Windows which are now available for the BNVD, RNVG, AN/PVS-14, AN/PVS-7B, Act in Black product lines. These sacrificial windows screw into the objective lens threads on all of the aforementioned devices and besides the fact that they reduce the system weight of a dual tube goggle by 10 grams, they also allow the systems lens caps to be utilized without having to remove (and then potentially lose) the sacrificial windows.
