New Zenith ZF-5 Roller-Delayed Blowback Announced for Q4 2021

Zenith Firearms is well known for making some affordable roller-delayed blowback firearms like the Z-5RS Pistol which is a fairly accurate clone of the legendary H&K MP5. Zenith has been pretty quiet as of late but they just announced that they’ll be producing their new ZF-5. The ZF-5 is going to be a full-size MP5 platform gun that features modern upgrades to the classic design of the MP5 submachine gun. The ZF-5 should be released later this fall and price details, as well as a production timeline, will be released in the coming weeks and months.

New Zenith ZF-5 Roller-Delayed Blowback Announced for Q4 2021

ZF-5 TO OFFER ADVANCEMENTS OVER THE ORIGINAL DESIGN;
AFTON, VA: Zenith Firearms announced today that it will be releasing its first gun model in the fourth quarter of 2021. Their ZF-5 will retain the iconic submachine gun profile, but offer improvements throughout the system. Users can expect improved serviceability along with renewed accessibility to parts and accessories.

“Since the start of this project, our goal was to build a ‘better than the original’ firearm,” said Kutlay Kaya, CEO of Zenith Firearms. “Our team of more than 50 engineers, roller-delayed platform experts, and manufacturing specialists have meticulously revamped the model. We will be offering a completely U.S.- made, Zenith manufactured firearm with superior quality attained through modernization, precise tolerances, improved coatings, and a cold hammer-forged barrel.”

Each ZF-5 will ship with three (3) magazines, a premium sling, a cleaning kit, and a Picatinny optics rail in a high-quality carry case. “You can expect to receive all of this with a lower price tag than the competition,” Kaya said. Distributors, dealers, and retail customers can follow Zenith’s social media pages for updates or sign up to receive emails at https://zenithfirearms.com/updates.

Unfortunately, aside from the information listed in the press release above, no additional information was offered which includes pictures of the new product. I am not sure what to expect but any competition in the MP5 arena is welcome in my opinion. Hopefully, the new ZF-5 will be reliable, affordable, and most importantly available when it is released in Q4 2021.

    When I think of zenith, I think of how many guns they imported for MKE that they essentially had to rebuild and refinish because MKE was slacking on Quality control.
    I understand stepping into the 9mm mp5 door because that’s what they have been doing but that market is so full with the price pretty set.
    I would prefer to see someone make a hk 53 in 5.56/300 blackout or 10mm, 357 sig or 40 mp5 as a non custom build

    So I wonder if that MP5 TDP actually made its way from Turkey?
