New Strike Eagles from Vortex: 1-6×24 and 1-8×24 with New Reticles & Features
Vortex Optics has a lot of going on at the moment and the popular Strike Eagle line with the 1-6×24 and 1-8×24 riflescopes are now available in upgraded versions.
For instance, new AR-BDC3 reticle offers references out to 650 yards to make holdovers simpler and more intuitive.
I have owned the previous Strike Eagle 1-6×24 and I own the previous Strike Eagle 1-8×24. Like many others, I got the 8 power when it arrived. The reticle is far from a favorite, but I still manage to shoot pretty decent groups at 300+ yards. Hopefully, the new reticle is better.
The overall design has also been changed, with a cleaner, sleeker profile. Vortex also added a thread-in throw lever for rapid adjustments.

I wish they would offer an MOA or MIL reticle. Past 500... temperature makes a pretty significant difference in hold over. Especially with .223.
I like the old model 1-8x.
