Cole-Tac has three new offerings for SHOT. First is the “Cheat Sheet,” a small plastic card that Velcros to a special mount that attaches to a scope tube.
It allows you to write whatever data you need to have close at hand (e.g., holds). The mount can be rotated in any orientation around the tube as needed. Another benefit, since the card is removable is that you can have several cards pre-staged with data (for different loads, etc.). MSRP $24. The next product is a simplified data book called the “Playbook.” Opposed to super complex Ranger Delta SEAL Recon Sniper DOPE books which hold 50 pens, protractors, a ham sammich, oh, and datasheets, the Comp-Tac Playbook is a simple two-panel affair. One side holds a couple of pens and has an elastic loop for your anemometer. The other side has a small clipboard with a crazy strong clip (not that anyone ever shoots in windy conditions #amiright?). MSRP $38. The last product is for all of you suppressor wh*res out there (I’m talking about you, Pete). It is a simple folder that can hold up to eight suppressors and has a flat section on the bottom that will hold your tax forms (I’ve heard you are supposed to have your paperwork at hand?). Honestly, this is a great idea for keeping them all in one place–I constantly have to dig around in the hell-pit, which is my safe, for my cans. Just make sure you secure this bag so an undocumented item transport specialist doesn’t grab all of your suppressors in one go. MSRP $88.These are products developed by someone that competes and makes things to address pain points. I appreciate the simplicity of the products. Low tech, functional, and affordable.
