It’s no secret that the last couple of days has been stressful for those in Simi Valley California. A good friend of TFB’s, Taran Butler of Taran Tactical Innovations has been impacted by the Wildfires in California. The TTI Range succumbed to the fires, however, no people or animals were harmed as the fires consumed the TTI Property.

In an Instagram post, Taran had the following to say after they had done all the could to save TTI property:

Thankful to be safe. We were able to stop the flames from burning everything down but with that being said, lost a lot. Although we’re safe, the fires not over – the fight continues through the night.
Thank you to all the first responders that helped stop it from burning everything to the ground. Currently with no power, no water or battery left to communicate. Let’s pray we stop these fires completely for anyone else that may be in harms way.

During the chaos, Taran attempted to put out a storage container full of tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition, however, the storage container was ultimately lost. In a recent Facebook post, Taran showcased the damage done to the property and the shipping container as they started cleanup operations.

SAfe from the Wildfires… but a lot lost

Among the list of casualties from the wildfires, TTI lost a load of Polymer Glock Mags and, tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition from ammunition companies like Fiocchi, Hodge Defense, Federal, and the Black Hills Ammo. Also, sadly several RubberDummies Targets and Larue Tactical targets were lost. On the bright side, it does look like all steel targets made it out with relatively no damage. Taran and friends were also able to make it past the police barricade and saved their most precious belongings and pets before ultimately evacuating the property.

    Back in Bidness

However, not all is lost, many friends banded together to help get the TTI property cleaned up and sorted out. With their spirits not dampened, the TTI team got back to business on November 4th. Although I’m sure there is plenty of work still to be done behind the scenes, it seems like Taran and company are no worse for the wear. Taran and the team have started up a Red Cross Donation link on the Taran Tactical Innovations page. Proceeds will go towards helping out those affected by the wildfires in California. For now, the Wildfire responsible known as “Easy Fire” has been 100% contained as of November 2nd.
