Faxon Firearms first introduced the Patriot and Hellfire S&W M&P pistol slides back in May at 2018 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits. Recently, the company published a press release announcing that these new slides are now available for purchase. Here is how the company describes these new products:
The Faxon Patriot and Hellfire slides are the perfect upgrade for your full-size Smith & Wesson® M&P pistol. Manufactured in-house from 17-4 stainless steel, Faxon slides for M&P are the first of their kind on the market. Each slide begins its life as bar stock, which allows for milling of features that are functionally and aesthetically superior to a factory slide that has been milled by a third party
The Faxon Firearms Patriot and Hellfire slides are compatible with Gen 1 full-size Smith & Wesson M&P pistol frames. Apparently, the only difference between these two slides are the slide ports. Hellfire comes with top and side ports whereas the Patriot is not ported and has a relief cut in place of the top port. Each of these new slides is available in stripped or assembled configurations. The slides come with a red dot sight cut for Trijicon RMR (and Holosun HS507C) or a Multi-Optics Cut (MOC) which is compatible with Vortex Viper, Venom and Burris Fastfire. You can also order these slides with no iron sights or with suppressor height sights installed. By the way, both slides are compatible with Glock iron sights.

According to the company, all their M&P slides come with the striker channel liner pre-installed. The Patriot and Hellfire slides also feature DLC coating, front and top serrations and billet aluminum red dot sight cut cover.
