Leupold has a new line of optics coming out for 2018 and it should inspire some patriotism and hopefully a desire to open your wallet. The VX-Freedom line of optics will support muzzleloader, rimfire and centerfire options for consumers in an array of magnification choices.
A strong selling point for this line of scopes is Leupold’s Twilight Light Management System. What this is meant to achieve is less glare, more contrast and higher overall performance during those dwindling hours of daylight for hunters and shooters alike.
Leupold goes on to elaborate about this new series of riflescopes for 2018:
The new VX-Freedom delivers the legendary Leupold performance and dependability that hunters and shooters have demanded for decades, combined with a host of new and improved features. VX-Freedom is guaranteed to get the job done every time.
Like all Leupold optics, the VX-Freedom series is waterproof, fogproof, shockproof and carries their Leupold Full Lifetime Guarantee. With the MSRPs for these scopes anywhere from $234.99 – $389.99 hopefully consumers will be able to outfit their rifles within the $200 – $300 range when buying them in store.
Aside from the quality and affordable price points of this line of scopes, what has personally caught my eye is the number of reticle choices Leupold is offering out of the gate. You can choose from 5 different reticles for a host of applications.
A press release sheet from Leupold can be read below and it would be reasonable to assume we will see more of these come SHOT Show in January.
