Lone Survivor custom gun

The Lone Survivor Foundation is holding a raffle to raise funds for its charitable efforts. The prize? A custom Lone Star Texas Strong Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Compact pistol. The pistol is a donation from Brownells and Smith & Wesson.

Finished in a Cerakote pattern similar to the colors of the Texas state flag, the 9mm pistol is one of the newest handguns made by Smith & Wesson. I’ve had a chance to shoot one extensively, and I like it a lot. In fact, I shoot it better than the full size M2.0 M&P pistol. In addition to being a new size for the M&P platform, the Compact has the extended internal chassis, fourth palmswell grip and the aggressive grip texture that the full size M&P M2.0 pistol has. The gun holds 15 rounds in a flush fitting magazine. With an included spacer, the gun will also take the full size 17 round magazines.

The gun has a stated retail value of $850 (with the finishing that was provided by Battle Arms Development.) Raffle tickets can be purchased online here. A single ticket is $20, and you get a free ticket with every five you buy. The ticket sales will continue through December 11 if you are interested in this pistol or with helping the Lone Survivor Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to help wounded service members through health, wellness and therapeutic support.

I just have to say that compact sized M&p's are nothing new... I've sold more than a few when I sold firearms. They had M&p 9c's like 2 years ago. I dont understand why everyone keeps saying they haven't had compact models before.

@Richard Ok, that makes more sense then. I'd have to look more into the differences between the compact and full size, but it just seems the grip has a little chopped off, maybe a slight bit off the barrel, maybe.
