Ruger Introduces The Navy SEAL Foundation 1911 Through TALO

TALO works with many of the major gun companies to produce limited edition guns. However, we don’t see very many made to benefit a military organization.

“Our goal is to raise $70,000 for Navy Seals Foundation from this edition

    Please reword this, Katie.

  • JB000

You would think TFB would know better than to write it “Seal.”

    • CommonSense23

Um who really cares that much.

      • JB000

I would hope a gun website would care that much. But I guess some people have lower standards. You probably don’t mind writing it Nasa either.

      • just about anyone who has any knowledge of the military, and recognizes that SEAL is an acronym, and should be all-capitals.

        • CommonSense23

I can text about 20 active team guys and I guranteee you not one of them will care about making sure its written out in all caps.

          • I imagine you’re right. If it gets people that bent out of shape they need to let Ruger know not the messenger.

          • *makes jerking motion* Bully for you. It’s still a sign of respect, whether or not the members care.

          • Klaus Von Schmitto

            Thank you Teddy Roosevelt.

        • Klaus Von Schmitto

          oui oui monsieur.

      • Klaus Von Schmitto

Absolutely no one who isn’t kind of sweet on guys in berets.

    • Geez man you missed the point that Ruger wrote that sentence. Probably the person who wrote it isn’t familiar with the military terms. I don’t edit what a company says.

      • JB000

Sorry, my mistake. Although you should make it clear when something is a quote. I wasn’t comparing your text with the tiny text in the image on my phone. Ruger should really know better.

  • Vitsaus

I think the guys that did the Bin-Laden raid were carry almost this exact 1911 as their side arm.

  • Edeco

That high polish dust cover is neat. Should have made a special chevron shaped trigger to match the grips and serrations.
