POTD: MP5 Starlight

Due to the giant light/optic used on MP5s back in the day, I decided to modernize the concept a bit. If you recall I posted about the MP5 that TPM Outfitters have come across with an old Hensoldt light/optic. Well now that it is 20-30 years later we can certainly improve on the concept. I like to mount my Hellfighter on anything just because it is ridiculous and funny. I didn’t have the IR filter on for the photo but you can imagine it with one on.

What mortgage lender did you use to purchase that Surefire?

        • Nicholas C

They are actually not that expensive. They pop up on occasion for about $500.

          • BravoSeven

Oh OK…. I thought it was one of the “call for availability/price” items. For the record, I love Surefire.

Why does the gun need bullets when that light will just flame the target to ash?

    • noob

      when the batteries die

  • TheNotoriousIUD

Cool that your light has a rail to attach a gun.

  • Mr Mxyzptlk

Is that arm brace touching your shoulder?!? Straight to jail!!!

    • noob

you can’t see it but it is just hovering millimeters away from his shoulder. the shirt is not compressed. this common technique is very *puts on sunglasses* cheeky

  • DonDrapersAcidTrip

Looks like something kris kristofferson put together for wesley snipes

  • noob

with NOD your head would be further back not in line with the sights all. Can this light with an IR filter be used with a laser, or would the laser spot be drowned out by the light?

    • Nicholas C

Surprisingly the light is not that bright with good nods. You will still see a good laser.

  • Justin Roney

    What, no night pictures? Awww…
