KGMade UDP Suppressed Pistol Caliber Carbine

Silencer manufacturer KGMade has teamed up with Angstadt Arms to make an integrally suppressed pistol caliber carbine. Taking cues from other suppressed platforms like the MP5SD, The UDP-9i series features a ported barrel to drop high velocity ammo down to subsonic speeds.

In an added twist, however, KGMade has threaded all 15 of the barrel ports to give the owner the ability to fine tune their gun to their loads. Want more velocity and don’t mind the sonic crack? Plug up more of the ports. Looking for the quietest setup and don’t mind sacrificing velocity? Remove some of the plugs to bleed off gasses inside the suppressor.

This looks like an awesome setup and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one for some “serious scientific testing”. More details and specifications below.

KGMade UDP Requirements:

  • Had to be light (our full length single stamp version is the same weight as a standard 16.5″ barrel rifle)
  • Had to be full auto rated( many police agencies, foreign and domestic have been looking at it)
  • Had to be able to be adjustable, the MP5-sd was just ported so any subsonic ammo is┬áleaving the gun too slow, as well as other integrally suppressed PCC platforms
  • Had to be user-servicable, this is piggy backing off the interest of police and military who need simple servicability
  • Had to be reliable, the UDP-9 has already shown its ability to run at the top of the spectrum as far as reliability

With all of these criteria, we came to the table with a integrally suppressed system that exceeds every requirement: The system design does have a patent pending.

KGMade is a promising new company run by some very good folks. I look forward to seeing and hearing more (sonically less) from them in the future. Especially once the Hearing Protection Act passes. I suspect they will be one of the rising stars in the Post-HPA era in the firearm industry.

  • TheNotoriousIUD

Ill take two of these instead of the “cutting edge” new WC 1911.

  • iksnilol

I like that you can plug the ports, clever on their part.

  • If the HPA passes I might buy the SBR upper (I already have JP GMR lower on a form 1).

That’s actually not a bad price. I’ve seen some stupidly basic and overpriced 9mm AR-15s for 1400-1600.

FYI-If the HPA passes in any form it will be 2019+, too much political wrangling to be earlier IF it passes at all. You know the loud sound a gun makes is a “safety feature” according to the anti-gunners-lol
