Jerry Miculek To Attempt New World Record At SHOT Range Day

With SHOT getting closer and closer the amount of excitement grows as well as the size of my e-mail inbox. Press releases are plentiful, I assure you. That is OK though because this particular press release caught my attention. It appears that good ol’ Jerry is going to be attempting a new world record with a Smith & Wesson M&P 15T. The drill he is shooting is his very own “STL” or Share The Love drill.

If you aren’t familiar with the drill, check out the video below.

I don’t know what this guy has in his veins for sure, but it sure isn’t blood. Jerry the Machine must have hydraulic fluid or something keeping everything working correctly. In all seriousness, Jerry’s skill is hard to miss when watching him.

All of us at The Firearm Blog wish Jerry success when he makes the attempt. I am going to do my best to be present when he does so, getting a chance to watch him shoot fast is on my bucket list.

I wish he’d make YouTube videos again.

You and I both! I really miss watching Jerry light it up.

I want him to dress up as Snake Plissken and reenact the Bangkok Rules scene (simultaneousely draw/fire 44 Mag N-frames at four targets). Match or beat the time in the movie. Also since it’s Jerry maybe up the ante to 500 S&W and six targets instead of four, over a wider arc.

I have had the pleasure of seeing him shoot at FNH USA 3Gun when I RO’d one of the stages. I filmed it. He is fast. I will be right there with you at Range Day. That should be a lot of fun to watch. I wonder if Guinness Book of Records will be there to officiate it as a world record?

JESUS. I love how he semi steps as he’s firing, like, “yeah this thing doesn’t move might as well gain some ground”

    • Sunshine_Shooter

That shotgun is crazy. The brake, the reloader, the extended tube, the brake again…

  • Spencerhut

Jerry and his whole family are some of the nicest people in the shooting industry. It’s impossible to not like Jerry.

  • Mikial

Wouldn’t want to be a bag guy breaking into Jerry’s house. 😉

    • 1911a145acp

      or a bag lady……

      • Mikial

        Yes, or that either! 😉

  • TJbrena

I’ll be wandering around SHOT from Tuesday to Thursday. Please tell me range day is in that timeframe.

    • Patrick R. – Senior Writer

It is not. This will happen on Monday.

  • Rob

I couldn’t put 10 shots into the side of a barn that fast. ?

    • B-Sabre

I couldn’t do it from inside the barn ….

  • Joseph Goins

I thought he was dead after he stopped making YouTube videos.

  • datimes

I must be missing something here. What record is he attempting?

    • robert57Q

I imagine the record will be doing it in less time than before. That’s what most records are.

  • Wolfgar

I thought old guys got slower not faster! The laws of nature and the universe just don’t apply to him!

  • TheNotoriousIUD

I feel sorry for the idiot who tries to yank his wallet in the Walmart parking lot.

  • BrandonAKsALot

Not only is he amazing, he does it all with the enthusiasm of someone shooting a gun for the first time. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone who seems to genuinely love shooting as much.

Jerry has to register when he comes into California since every firearm becomes an assault weapon in his hands. The French might call him L’arme d’assaut
