New & Updated Armorer’s Courses

AGI Course

The American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI) announced a new armorer’s course and an update to an old one. The all new course is on the Mosin-Nagant while the updated course is on the Glock pistols.

Mosin-Nagant Rifles

This all new video course covers the history of the Mosin-Nagant rifle and then jumps into showing you how the gun is designed to function with specific information on:

  • disassembly and reassembly
  • proper cleaning and lubrication of the guns
  • variations of the gun and what information you need to know for working on them
  • details of the Finish Mosin-Nagant rifles
  • accessories

The course includes printable schematics. This is available on DVD and Blu-ray. It has a suggested retail price of $39.99.

Glock Pistols

AGI updated its existing Glock pistol course to include all of the current pistol information and updated techniques. The new video course is available on DVD and Blu-ray.

In addition to the normal field stripping, cleaning and other basics, the course includes details on the differences between the Glock generations (Gen3 vs. Gen4 for example.) The course does include information on the company’s single stack Glock 42 and Glock 43 pistols.

Like the Mosin-Nagant rifle course above, this video class has a suggested retail price of $39.99. It also includes printable schematics.

  • Major Tom

Very tempted to get that Mosin-Nagant armorer course.

    • Grindstone50k

If you send me $40, I’ll teach you how to use Google and give you access to way more information than AGI ever could.

  • Rick O’Shay

The Mosin Nagant? Really? Man, that seems like a waste of $40. It’s one of the simplest bolt action rifles out there in terms of how to service it.

    • Major Tom

And yet nobody knows what that little notch on the firing pin is. (It’s the marking for proper position.)

      • Rick O’Shay

I thought that was pretty common knowledge.

    • Grindstone50k

Not to mention everything they could possibly have about the Nagant is already available for free everywhere else.

  • Swarf

    Lesson 1. Rifle is fine.

    • DW

Step2: garbage bin is also fine
      I kid

  • M

I have a pretty strong feeling they don’t offer anything one can’t find on youtube

  • Sgt. Stedenko

    Calling all neckbeards

  • 22winmag

More cowbell and less kitchen-table YouTube “gunsmithing”.

  • mark bennett

Having seen their dated and clumsy made videos I would look elsewhere first. 1970’s style camera work and lighting similar to porn movies of the same period ( so I have been told 😉

    • Doctor Jelly

Yeah, I want 2016 porn quality gun education videos! Say no to the Hedgehog and yes to… uh… I don’t think there is an equivalent person today.
