Noveske’s Gen III One More Wave Rifle

One More Wave Noveske rifle

Noveske announced a new rifle called the Gen III OMW. OMW standas for One More Wave, the charitable organization the company is supporting with the sales of this gun.

The Gun

These Gen III guns are chambered in 300 BLK with a 14.5″ barrel fitted with a pinned Silencerco ASR brake. Noveske describes the upper and lower as “precision machined billet” 7075-T6 with a Type III hard coat anodizing and black Cerakote finish.

A Geissele SSA trigger is used as is a Noveske marked Geissele Super Badass charging handle. The safety selector is ambidextrous with a 60˚ throw.

Magpul handles the grip (Moe K2) and stock (SL) while the hand guard is an M-LOK compatible NHR 13.5″ free float with Picatinny on top and bottom. The MSRP is $2,350 on this gun with “a large portion of the profit” being donated to OMW.

OMW

One More Wave is a organization started by vets to help other vets with ocean therapy. The short story is OMW works with vets to help recover and adapt to any injuries they have sustained using the water as a medium of rehabilitation.

OMW builds custom surf boards for vets, matching the board to the needs of the vet. The video above should give you a general idea of what they are doing.

Man, I kinda hate 14.5 barrels with pinned muzzle device. Why not a 16 with the muzzle device of your choice? Is that 1.5″ going to make the gun much more nimble?

    • Henry Reed

      Obviously you don’t operationally operate.

Kinda off topic but does anyone know what sorta handguard this AR has?

“NHR M-LOK -13.5 Free floating handguard” it says that on the Noveske website.

It looks like the Noveske NSR rails, but comes with a bottom 1913 rail.

I was talking about the AR on the picture i posted.

        • James

The picture didn’t load for me earlier. Sorry

Thats a Taiwanese Type 91 AR, basically a piston AR-15, lucky for you Wolf is importing the uppers this year.

A 300 blackout with a pinned muzzle device and 14.5″ barrel from the factory seems really really stupid, kinda defeats the purpose of 300 blk unless you have a SiCo can that you can use.

    • YZAS

Anything over 9” really defeats the purpose, imo. At 14.5, you might as well just go with 5.56 and run 77gr smk’s

  • Dracon1201

    The 14.5 haterade is strong.
    My reasons for 14.5:
    1) Looks really good (subjective)
    2) Matches BDC of some scopes better (Trijicon TA33 (5.56))
    3) If you pick your MD well, you can get a QD can
    4) Yes, it is lighter, and points very well, it’s a bigger difference than you’d think.

    • AndyHasky

#3 is negated in this case as you’re locked into SiCo. Which was my point, all your other points are good though.

    • Henry Reed

      Love my 14.5

  • Gus Butts

Noveske with an M-lok rail. I’m 12 years old and what is this?

Rest in peace John Noveske. Glad to see the company is still going strong and also doing charitable work as well.
