Timney Triggers Announces Ruger Precision Rifle Trigger

The Ruger Precision Rifle platform continues to get better and better. With its relatively easy barrel swap, compatibility with various modern sporting rifle handguards, AR-style safety, folding stock, etc, etc. etc, the platform has been making serious waves within the precision shooting world.

However, with its focus on aftermarket compatibility for accessories, the Ruger Precision Rifle was not quite aftermarket friendly for its core components including receivers, bolt, and perhaps most critically, the trigger. While the Ruger Precision Rifle trigger is generally called “pretty good” by most shooters and the media, there is always room for improvement, especially in precision rifles.

Having completed reverse-engineering and their own engineering, Timney Triggers has announced the release of their upcoming Ruger Precision Rifle trigger. Like most Timney products, the trigger comes pre-assembled in a pack. The new triggers are stated to be two-stag and fully adjustable, clocking in from 8 ounces to just a single pound from the folks at Timney. They further announced on Facebook that there will be two trigger bow options, a straight and a curved.

Pre-orders are being accepted (once has to call Timney at 623-223-1111 and ask for “Nate” – no relation to me). MSRP is tagged at $219.95. Tentative shipping date is late October, which with delays is still well before most hunting seasons and the winter holidays.
