In perhaps what I would deem as one of the best tongue-in-cheek offerings yet to emerge from the firearms industry, Texas Black Rifle Company has released what they dub the A Salt Rifle. The weapon itself is a political statement against those who Texas Black Company dubs “crazy Liberals” and “Libtards”.
The A Salt Rifle is likely to either highly entertain those who view it or highly offend the opposite. A pun on the largely political term “Assault Rifle” the A Salt Rifle is replete with witty repartee. The magazine well uses the Donkey (a common symbol of the US Democtratic political party) to complete the statement “Shove Gun Control Up Your…” The safety/selector continues the theme with “safe space” for safe, “offended” for fire, and “triggered” for the typical fully-automatic setting.
For those that care for the specifications beyond the various labeling, the lower receiver is a largely standard forging to current military specifications. It is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and Type III hard anodized to ensure that the labeling survives the harshest treatment. The magazine well is standard STANAG dimensions.
Pricing is set at $150. More than a few see the receiver as funny; current back-orders has Texas Black Rifle Company at a 3-4 week lead time from shipping with them machining at full capacity.
