New Lasers, Weapon Lights and Red Dot Sights from Kinetic Concealment

unnamed

You make a good number of friends over the years in the gun industry. One of those friends, Josh Sykes, not only works in the marketing end of the industry but has a company of his own named Kinetic Concealment. Up until now Josh has been designing and making holsters but today he contacted me to let me know he is branching off to design and sell lasers for rail mounting as well as white light/green laser combos for pistols and finally a mini red dot sight for pistols.

Like myself Josh sees a lot of high dollar products in these categories and decided he wanted to make a budget priced line of products that are made well and don’t fall apart like some cheaply made products. I think he may just have succeeded since these products don’t look like they fit into the budget category. We’ll see how the light/laser combo works. I’ll be testing one before long and report my results to you. The newest light in the featured photo above is a green laser. As you can see it fits on a weapons rail and runs the laser on one C123 battery. MSRP is $79.00!

From Kinetic Concealment:

Kinetic Concealment, known for their neoprene backed leather kydex hybrid holsters, has added to its product line-up by offering the new MG-01 Mini-Green Dot Laser Sight.

The MG-01 is designed to be a low-cost high-quality green dot sight that can be mounted on any sub-compact pistol with a standard rail system. Operating off of a standard CR-123 battery makes the MG-01 not only cost effective, but less expensive to operate. With high-quality aluminum alloy construction and boosting a retail price point of only $79.99, the MG-01 is designed to be both durable and affordable.

Now that tiny reddots are becoming cheap, all I really want is an AR-15 handle that incorporates one.

    • Sianmink

      Something like this?
(ok it’s a G36 handle you get the idea)

      • I want to know more about that build.

      • JSmath

I’m not sure how I feel about that build, Sianmink. Do you know the backstory/follow-through?

        • Sianmink

I think it’s probably an airsoft abomination.

    • Bill

C-More Scout model – I don’t know if its still in production.

With all due respect, these are just privately branded Chinese lasers and red dot sights that a hundred other companies import. Doesn’t make them necessarily bad. They are what they are.

  • TheNotoriousIUD

Ive been waiting for a green laser/light combo that doesnt cost more than the gun im mounting it on so this sounds promising if it passes the test.

  • hking

That stuff seems pretty damn cheap to be made with any QC and out of anything other than chinese potmetal.

  • hami

I am looking forward to the review of the laser/light

  • stephen

So this guy got with a chinese company to bring forth these products?

    Hmmm… remember these two sayings…

You get what you pay for

    and…

A fool and his money are soon parted.

    • TheNotoriousIUD

True, but i’d rather be a fool who parts with $70 rather than a $700.

Nowadays “Made in China” doesn’t necessarily mean what it used to. With the right quality controls there are a number of name-brand companies extracting very good quality products from China.

I can’t say that applies to everything made in China these days, but on the whole quality is rapidly increasing.

I remember not too long ago you had a 50/50 chance of anything you bought from harbor freight breaking before you got it fully unpackaged. Nowadays HF tools are only slightly lower quality that most of the HomeDepot/Lowes brands.

      China is catching up.

  • Cymond

Primary Seems has a reputation for truly great customer service. Maybe that’s what the extra $20 gets you – a company that will deal with any problems that arise.

    • post_break

This is very true. I guess my comment was snarky in the idea that these were new products, that kinetic concealment had anything to do with creating them. They basically slapped their silk screen logo on it and jumped up the price.

  • Cymond

I’ve looked at the cheap $60 green lasers on sites like amazon & ebay. I could never bring myself to gamble the money on a product with such severely mixed reviews. These seem like a better bet because KC will probably work to address any problems that develop over time, unlike the typical ebay seller.

And honestly, I’ve been wanting to try a laser but didn’t want to spend serious money on something that I may not like. One of these would be great on a rimfire.

  • Kinetic Concealment

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, these are imported, but we are working directly to insure QC! Wouldn’t put our name on it otherwise. We have a representative at the factory. We wanted a value laser product with a solid one year replacement warranty under $90. We feel we have that here!

  • >’w'<

That CNC quality and gloss anodize and 3.5(2.5?) earphone switch hole…
looks like a Chinese airsoft product?-__-

(I’m an airsofter in taiwan…here is lots product very like this…XD)

    • JSmath

Don’t even sweat it friend, we get the same products here. They’re conveniently built to withstand use on lower-recoil (~9mm/556NATO) caliber weapons, so people buy them for any hobby (actual firearms, paintball, airsoft).

[US] Amazon really highlights how copy-and-paste these accessories tend to be – Five different makes, all the same model with only a tiny bit of variation, and fluctuations in price all over.
