While .50BMG can carve a pumpkin in a single shot, it seems the .22LR is better suited for actually attempting to “carve” a pumpkin. Poised as a shooting came (I agree it would be), Kirsten Joy Weiss starts carving using a custom 10/22.
The results are equally spectacular, if only for her ability to put bullets where she wants them to go. The pumpkin actually has a discernible shape (versus the Jerry Miculek pumpkin which had a big hole).
While my wee-one is not yet here to enjoy the game, I will certainly keep this in mind for when she is a bit bigger.
