Gunsmith Slides from Suarez International

Those looking to customize their Glock slide and its fit to the frame can now rejoice. Gunsmith-ready slides are now available from Suarez International. Made from 416 Stainless Slide Material, the slides are offered unmarked in the standard Glock shape, albeit without any cocking serrations. Slides do come pre-milled for factory-style front and rear sights.

However, I do contest the “American Standard”. While I fully support local manufacturing, quality and specs can be completed well universally. Just look to Toyota vehicles.

Those interested in bare slides can pick them up direct from Suarez for $179. Large discounts are available for OEMs looking to private label.

Description from Suarez:

This slide is offered to local gunsmiths wishing to build up and brand slides and pistols for their own companies or organizations. They are made up as identical copies of the factory item, out of properly heat treated and bead blasted 416 Stainless Steel. Made in the USA to American Standards.  These are made in Arizona, not in SE Asia. The slides are totally unmarked without logo, serrations, or milling. Same profile as OEM with round nose front profile like Glock 26 and 34. They have provision to install all factory parts, standard sights, and barrels and install onto a frame.

  • No Logos or Cocking Serrations.
  • No external markings at all.
  • Standard with Rear Dovetail Cut and Front Sight Slot.
  • Similar rounded edge profile.
  • Same round nose front profile as Glock 26, and 34.
  • Interior dimensions are exact to OEM factory tolerances.
  • Made from Heat Treated 416 Stainless Steel Billet Stock.
  • Guaranteed to work with all OEM parts and accessories.
  • Provided in Bead Blasted Finish.

Mill “Glock & Wesson .45mm” on it and paint it with gold tiger stripes

    It’ll sell like hotcakes

I like you. We can be friends.

Lightning bolts as cocking serrations to top it off…

    • MR

Imma find a trophy shop to laser etch “G7 Ceramic” into it, play up all those old tall tales.

  • thedonn007

So, how hard is this to operate without the serrations? Does not seem too practical to me.

    • Jared Vynn

It’s meant for gunsmiths to do their own serrations and other milling.

      • Al

Yep, but it might be awesome with just skateboard tape.

        • Bill

I was thinking the same thing, then remembered that the inside of my holster has never done anything to deserve that.

          • There is one shop that machines recesses in the slide so the strips of skateboard tape will be countersunk.

  • Holdfast_II

I love my Toyota – it was made in Indiana.

First gen Tundra, here. Great truck.

      • I like my X-Terra:-)

        • tazman66gt

noticed that they aren’t making them anymore, sucks

          • 2016 models are out. You sure they are not going to make them after 2016?

          • tazman66gt

That’s what the Car and Driver article said, it was going over the 2016 models for each brand and at the bottom said the XTerra was dead. Hopefully it just means that they are stopping production until they get the new Frontier out and then bring it back.

          • Gotcha—-

And here I thought I was the only person who’d want to put the Arcadia quote on the side of a gun. Bravo sir.

      • Edeco

😀 Thanks! Hey, you know about “Blood Meridian” right? That’s where I got the idea. I can’t tell from your post… in the novel one of the guys has it on his rifle.

  • Mystick

Just say NO to billboard slides.

  • iksnilol

Doesn’t an used Glock cost like 400 USD? This is spending half that for just the slide.

    That’s crazy.

    • $400—$450 or so

    • Tomas

Well it’s about half of the gun….

      • iksnilol

I dunno, does it come with the internals?

I mean, isn’t the barrel the most expensive part of a gun usually? As in, I don’t mind paying half the price of a somewhat cheap gun for the barrel. But for only the slide? Oh heck 2 da naw naw.

        • MR

Meh. Other aftermarket slides are pricier. If you don’t want to spend money, you can always leave it stock, or even better, get a Hi-Point instead.

          • iksnilol

I like how you roll, Hi-Point, AKA Glock fotay – problem solver.

  • Matt

Just make sure to passivate the slide after cutting serrations into it otherwise it will rust out like a pig.

  • I would love one with serrations entirely across both sides!

    • Actually, I’ve seen one shop that does just that. You never know when you’ll need to use your slide as a field-expedient wood rasp. Why, you might need to hollow out a tree trunk to create a makeshift canoe.

      • That made my day!

      • mosinman

a true operator is ready for anything!

  • 7n6

Pretty sure this is just a lonewolf slide without any markings + markup.

    • Could be I guess—-

    • Thats what I thought at first, but the lonewolf slides are SS and I’m pretty sure made by a South Korean company.

I think the goal here is to be a direct, america competitor.

      • Russell Phagan

        You are correct

  • MR

    Want one for my G17.

  • dannye
  • Rob

Would not buy anything from that guy. But have to give him points for not putting his logo on it.

    • David

Which, considering the ego, surprises the ever-living daylights out of me.

  • Giolli Joker

  • Heh, in reality, it doesn’t look very cool….. but DAMN, that grip.

  • Sgt. Stedenko

These Suarez RMR Glocktards are amazing.
They justify spending an additional $1,000 on slides, serrations, stippling, triggers, etc. on an obviously flawed design but will vehemently beat you down when you dare pose the question why the P320 is a better out if the box system.
Gabe’s forum is groupthink at it’s finest and Gabe is the biggest wannabe oper8r I’ve ever met.

How are they still in business?
