Sightmark announced they will show a new Photon digital night vision scope at the 2015 SHOT Show. The new models, the Photon XT 4.6x 42 and the Photon XT 6.5x 50, are an improvement over the Photon-S released a year ago.

The new XT models have a 640×480 display (up from 300×225 on the -S model.) Also, the XT has a higher magnification: 4.6x and 6.5x vs 3.5x. They have a number of reticles, including duplex, Mil-Dot and ones designed for crossbows.

The scopes have integrated IR illuminators. Additionally, the scopes have video outputs to allow for external recording of what is seen by the shooter. A pair of AA batteries power these units.

Not to get off the subject, but what happened to wolf’s plan on importing Russian night vision into the country ?

If it was genuine Russian (instead of Belorussian), then it likely fell under the KC sanction.

Excited to see the price point of these considering the Photon-S @ $600. Hopefully they didn’t “improve” the price tooo too much.
