SIGP320

SIG Sauer has launched their “Take-A-Shot” contest, which gives you a chance to win one of twenty SIG P320 Carry pistols. Even better, though, is the fact that two of the winners will get a trip to SHOT Show 2015 in January to compete in SIG’s VIP Range Day. Range Day’s grand prize is listed at $10,000 and is what SIG calls their “ultimate SIG Sauer collection of firearms and accessories” and that ultimate collection does include the new SIG MCX, as well as a SIG MPX – and others, of course.

Quick gun rundown: The P320 is a polymer-framed pistol that comes in 9mm, .40 S&W, .357 SIG, and .45 ACP. It has a partially pretensioned striker and is both customizable for different hand sizes and has slide and barrel conversions possible so you can switch between calibers and barrel lengths. The brand-new SIG MCX is a select-fire, multi-caliber rifle in: 5.56 NATO, 300 BLK, and 7.62x39mm. It fires at a quiet 118 decibels and caliber changes are said to be simple to make in the field. The SIG MPX-P, a centerfire pistol with a short-stroke, gas-driven piston and carbon-fiber, rail-adaptable handguard, in 9mm. The MPX will come with a Pistol Stabilizing Brace.

Contest info from SIG:

  1. Sweepstakes
Starting today, enter the P320 Take-a-SHOT Sweepstakes for a chance to win one of (10) P320 pistols. One pistol will be given away at random for 10 business days at 3:20pm from December 1, 2014 through December 12, 2014. From these ten winners, a semifinalist will be chosen at random to win the trip to SHOT Show 2015 in Las Vegas and compete at the SIG SAUER VIP Range Day for the Ultimate Grand Prize Package.

    2. Video Contest
Starting today and running through November 30, 2014, fans can submit a creative video with the theme “The P320 is Epic Because (fill in the blank)”. From these videos, SIG SAUER will select the ten best videos and send a P320 pistol to the 10 winning contestants.

The top 10 videos will be posted on December 5th, and voted on by SIG SAUER® fans thorugh December 22nd. The contestant whose video receives the most number of votes will be the second semifinalist to win the trip to SHOT Show 2015 in Las Vegas and compete at the SIG SAUER VIP Range Day for the Ultimate Grand Prize Package.

The two semifinalists will then compete in a series of shoot-off challenges at the SIG SAUER VIP Range Day, with the winner taking home the grand prize Ultimate SIG SAUER Collection: a SIG MPX-P with a Pistol Stabilizing Brace in 9mm, a SIG MCX™ in 300BLK, an M11-A1 Flat Dark Earth pistol, an MK25 Flat Dark Earth pistol, a P226® Threaded Barrel and an M11-A1 Threaded Barrel. But that’s not all. These guns need to be fed, so SIG SAUER will throw in a case of SIG V-Crown Elite Performance 9mm JHP and Elite Performance 300BLK rifle ammunition, plus additional SIG MCX and SIG MPX magazines.

A custom Pelican case keeps it all together, and a SIG SAUER PVC patch lets you show your pride every day.

So if you want a shot at some new guns – for free – or a chance to head to SHOT Show – and who wouldn’t – get your entry in asap. Let the gun games begin.

I find myself actually kind of wanting a P320… If SIG really exploited the modularity aspect with actually different frames (modeled after Glock or HK, or other styles), different slides, an integrated light from a good mfg, a pistol carbine upper, whatever, really experimented with the mofular aspect and made something the aftermarket just could not ignore that would be amazing.

Unfortunately I’m just kind of expecting a rainbow colored version or some “themed” versions that no one believes are real at first. You know… SIG it all up.

    • I’ve got a big plastic bin full of Glock magazines. I’d buy a 320 in a hearbeat, if they had a gripframe that could accept Glock magazines.

      • JumpIf NotZero

Exactly. Likewise if they had a grip that was P30/PPQ like and I could put their long slide on it, I’d have that in a heartbeat.

There is SO MUCH potential, but SIG seems to be limited in scope to making three basically identical sizes of the same frame and if you’re lucky they may offer two new colors!

Hey I capital L love my Glocks, I say go get more Glocks for your spare mags. But I might be biased.

  • DIR911911 .

it’s a companies way of developing a whole bunch of free advertising through entries videos, some things suck in the 21st century.

It’d be great if they would do a cell-camera-only contest although they’d have to prohibit major editing there, too. Otherwise there’d be somebody out there who did the video footage on their phone then turned around and edited the heck out of it either on their laptop or with some heaven-knows-how-crazy app no one else has even heard of. Yeah, as much as I’d love this (hey, free guns!) there’s no way even my best efforts with a video would win.

As I understand it by Sigs website 10 will be chosen by entering your info by the sweepstakes and 10 by the video submissions then take one from the sweepstakes and one from the video entries for the Vegas shootoff and the winner of that gets all the goodies.
