Groupon Brings Back Limited Firearms-Related Deals

1

Groupon, after a very public ban on firearms related offers, has again decided to offer firearms related deals–aliet on a limited basis. WebProNews reports that Groupon has reconsidered based on market feedback. The quote below relates to a incident where a Colorado shooting range’s coupon was included by accident:

After an expired coupon for a Colorado Shooting Range was included in today’s Groupon email blast for Denver, Red Alert Politics followed up with the company and discovered the change in policy. Today’s coupon was a mistake, but Denver residents might soon see real gun-related deals in their Groupon emails.

“We have decided to reopen certain firearm-related deals in specific markets where they’ve been frequently requested by both merchants and customers,”

Groupon was serious about the limited scope. When pressed for further comment:

After a carefully considered review, we have decided to reopen certain firearm-related deals in specific markets where they’ve been frequently requested by both merchants and customers. These deals are limited to skeet shooting and firing ranges.

I can confirm that firearms related deals are indeed live here in Cincinatti and they are just for firing ranges per the public statement. The screen capture above is within the last 24 hours.

because even a hard leaning leftist needs the create cashflow… groupon isnt just failing.. it is FLAILING and has not clue one, on how to survive they’re own shortsightedness in who to exclude from their offers. my wife and I have used them very infrequently, mostly for the once in awhiles where the offer merits our attention.. but 99.9% of their stuff sucks.

I just got a Groupon offer for Red Lobster: buy a Seafood Lover’s Dinner get 1/2 off a Colt LE6920-not bad- but still too much $ for a Colt 😉

We have a Dick’s in the area, you can hear the crickets chirping when you go in there. I hope they learned their lesson. Most all gun owners are upstanding citizens with money they want to spend on those related items. We have a voice and the power & discipline to wield it. The antigun people have power & money but not the discipline, they go with the wind of what’s the latest cause. They know if it hurts their bottom line you cannot tow it and will give in. Misguided, ignorant, reactionary people should never be in charge of anything.

Uhhh- maybe the economy sucking also has something to do with it? Even Walmart sales in general are in the toilet and they sell a ton of guns and ammo.

I told the Groupon customer service rep when I spoke with them about closing my account that since they don’t care about the 2nd Amendment, I would not ever come back as a customer. And I won’t, no matter what the offer.
