Not content to sit on their laurels, DRD Tactical, has announced the release of the SRU-762 QS/Take-Down upper receiver. The SRU-762 upper is compatible with SR-25/M110 systems. It comes with either a 1/10 or 1/12 twist Lothar Walther barrel. It does not come with a BCG.

The rail system is identical to to the 5.56 version, namely the CDR-15 rifles, and U556/U300 uppers. The rails user a combination pin and lever to mount to a hand-tightened barrel nut. When aligned with a notch in the upper and mounted, it provides a solid uninterrupted rail system free floating the barrel.

The DRD Tactical Q/D system is designed to be set up or torn down in less than a minute. MSRP of the upper receiver kit is $1195.

For those looking to outfit an existing DPMS (Gen 1)-pattern rifle, DRD Tactical already offers compatible kits. See their U762.

    “accounted” = “announced” ???

The M762 can work on DPMS-style lowers, right? I think I’d stick with that.

I’m a bit confused. DPMS pattern is LR308, correct? This new DRD offering would suggest that a SR-25 upper is not compatible with a LR308 lower… I was under the impression that they are compatible.
